Commercialism is Beautiful

Amazon had a one-day sale on the Canon XS for about $410 (USD). I had planned to purchase an XSi, but when the difference between the two cameras isn't worth $150 to a tight budget, you go for the less expensive option and buy accessories.

That being said, there is now an XS and the EF 50mm f/1.8 II queued up to be sent to me, hopefully in time for Christmas. Needless to say that I'm quite excited to own my first SLR, much less with an additional lens off the bat!

...sadly, my mind is already set on what I want to buy next: a Vivitar 285-HV, because external flashes are the most amazing things under the sun... Or not. (Haw, haw, because flashes make light? Haw... Haw?) Maybe some filters for the lenses, for sure a shoot-through umbrella because they're totally amazingly awesome... IDK. Time will tell.
